Greg Miller

of Miller-Dutra Coastside Chapel

For 30 of Greg’s 37 years as a funeral director he’s been helping families at Miller-Dutra Coastside Chapel. Donald always knew he wanted to be a funeral director and attended San Francisco College of Mortuary Science. He also studied sociology and gerontology at San Francisco State University.

A true altruist, Greg has dedicated his life to serving his community and his country. He was awarded the Purple Heart for his service in Vietnam and is now involved with the local American Legion. For 22 years, he’s been a part of the Rotary Club of Half Moon Bay; he’s led as president and received the Paul Harris Fellowship Award. He also served as president of the San Mateo County Funeral Directors Assoc. and is on the advisory board for Seton Coastside Hospital. He works with the Knights of Columbus, the Serra Club of San Mateo, Abraham Lincoln Lodge, and the Chamber of Commerce.

In his free time, he repairs children’s centers and senior citizens’ homes, serves free Saturday breakfasts at the Ted Adcock Center, and judges speech contests. He has coached little league and sports teams at St. Matthew’s Catholic school. He organized Rotary Club outreach programs, and even started “Rainbows for All God’s Children,” a group for kids with divorced or deceased parents.

Greg never stops doing for others and we are so happy to have him on our team.

Thank you for your wonderful help and great efficiency. It is a pleasure to work with you.

— Wendy L.
